Paul Kolazinski is a local artist influenced by the likes of Frank Stella, Ellsworth Kelly, and Joseph Albers. His distorted hand-stretched canvases break the flat plane of a traditional paintings and invert the viewer’s attention. Geometric compositions highlight the canvas form and allow the drama of the work to happen at the edges of the canvas, rather than within the field. These unique works must be seen in the round to be appreciated and understood.
This exhibition will be on display through Sunday, December 3rd
