Opening Reception with the Artist

Native Austinite Dave Lowell has been making his mark on the streets of Austin and around the country for nearly a decade. Widely recognized as one of the top graffiti and mural artists in the United States, his work has been exhibited from Los Angeles to Miami and Washington D.C. Lowell’s punchy graphics are deconstructed into patterns of light and shadow, and then sprayed through layers of intricately hand-cut stencils onto canvas or found objects. His soft free-hand application of aerosol paint is given structure by the technical precision of his stencil work.

This exhibit will be on display through Friday, November 9th
